Founded in 1902, the University serves traditional undergraduate students, adult students, graduate students, dual enrollment high school students through its post-secondary education option (PSEO), and a baccalaureate nursing program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-challenge\">Challenge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-institutional-profile-1\">UNWSP wanted to enhance student engagement by creating a seamless and transparent experience, from recruiting all the way through graduation. They knew this was a complex initiative, however if done correctly would greatly enhance the institutions ability to attract and retain lifelong learners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"h-institutional-profile-1\">A key element in fulfilling this vision, was identifying a solution that provided students with appropriate access and visibility to relevant and timely information throughout the student lifecycle. Thus, requiring synchronizing data across multiple systems such as Ellucian Banner (ERP), Slate (CRM), a data warehouse (Ellucian ODS), Medicat (medical system), as well as other systems such as housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-solution\">Solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What began as a Slate project evolved into a comprehensive solution. UNWSP chose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>AWS Data Lake for centralized data storage<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SIG for Slate implementation, AWS Data Lake integration, and business process redesign<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNWSP IT resources for lambda and python functions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This <strong>NEW<\/strong> integrated environment enhanced student experience by providing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Interactive student checklist with integrated forms and dynamic data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faster responsiveness during application process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduced support calls, increasing satisfaction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Higher on-time registration completion rates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A single, reliable platform for secure data access<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainable cross-system integrations via CRM\/Slate&#8217;s API<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Elimination of inconsistent data issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-results-amp-impact\">Results &amp; Impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With this NEW integrated environment, UNWSP was able to enhance the Student Experience by providing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Interactive student &#8220;check list&#8221; with integrated forms, such as for housing and medical.
